Afternoon: Drive (15 min) to Vrbove, with one of the largest synagogues in Slovakia, and en route to Trencin stop at the Cachtice Castle. In Trencin, the Castle, 15th century gate and synagogue are of interest.
Overnight: Trencin: Hotels Devin, Marrols or Perugia.
Day 3. Trencin-Bojnice-Rajecke Teplice
Morning: Drive (1hr.) to Bojnice and to tour Slovakia’s favorite Renaissance Castle and the adjacent zoo. Have lunch at Hotel pod Zamkom.
Afternoon: Continue (35 miles north) to Klak peak and Cicmany, a hidden village known for its folk architecture and painted houses. Drive on to the Rajecke Teplice Spa to take the waters or wellness treatments.
Overnight: Rajecke Teplice: Hotel Aphrodite.
Day 4. Stop in Zilina to visit the Povazie Museum, en route to touring in the Tatras Mountains or before crossing either the Czech border (towards Olomouc) or Polish border (towards Krakow).
