Getting Around by Air

Getting around by air is good for those with little time on their hands and interest in the bigger cities and their immediate surroundings.

National airlines, as well as a number of low-cost airlines cover some parts of Central Europe:

Tyrolean Airlines (subsidiary carriers of Austrian Airlines): domestic flights within Austria

Austrian Arrow (subsidiary carriers of Austrian Airlines) : domestic flights within Austria

FlyNiki: domestic flights within Austria and flights within the region

Czech Airlines: operates domestic flights between Prague and Ostrava, Brno and Karlovy Vary. Coming soon, Czech Airlines will connect Sliac and Zilina on its flights from Prague.

Airberlin: offers domestic flights throughout Germany and to many neighboring Central European countries.

Lufthansa: offers domestic flights throughout Germany and to many neighboring Central European countries.

LOT: operates scheduled air service from Warsaw to Krakow, Gdansk, Poznan, Szczecin and Wroclaw.

Skyeurope: Scheduled domestic flights between Bratislava and Kosice

Ryanair: low cost airline

Easyjet: low cost airline

Wizz Air: serves Poland and other European countries

Central Wings: serves Poland and other European countries
