Spas & Wellness in Hungary

Budapest

After Iceland, Hungary has the largest thermal water resources in the world: Budapest itself has more than 120 thermal springs. There are many places to take to the waters in Budapest where, in addition to baths, they offer massages and a full range of medical treatments. The most famous is the Gellert Thermal Spring Baths, a landmark Art Nouveau showplace. Among others, the Danubius Thermal Hotel Margitsziget is deluxe spa-hotel choice, a luxury property in the heart of the metropolis on Margaret Island. In addition to a pool, sauna and fitness center, facial cosmetic surgery is available.

The enormous, neo-Baroque-style Szechenyi baths, with nine indoor and outdoor pools, is the largest medicinal bath complex in Europe. Massage and fitness facilities are available.
